2 Financial Tips For Newbie Writers

Remember that infomercial from years back that asked, “Do you want to make more money?”

A stupid question because the answer was obvious, in fact, the commercial answered their own question, “Of course we all do.”

A lot of us got into this writing thing because we love writing, and we all, or most of us want to make money at it. You may have dreams of hitting it out of the park with your first novel or post here on Medium or any other platform. But while lightning does strike from time to time, the best thing to do is be patient, persistent and consistent. You might not ever get to the point of raking in millions like Stephen King, but then most of us don’t.

When it comes to money when you’re first starting out, and on that I don’t mean making money I mean spending money, here are some tips that I hope will help you.

1. Avoid debt like the virus. Pretend that using your credit card is like kissing someone infected with COVID-19.
