Post Apocalypse Short Story Chapter 6

Julian took his soon-to-be wife Sarah, with him to the next Farm. Where they were greeted by the man and two of his sons.

What is it you want?” the gray-haired man asked.

Julian went through what he knew about the raiders and let Sarah take it from there. She told a harrowing Tale of what happened to her family, “I just want to get my brothers and sisters back,” she said as she wiped tears from her face.

The old man rested a sympathetic hand on her shoulder, “First things first we have to defend ourselves, and you so if you want to get them back it will result in killing.”

Sarah nodded her understanding, she always knew that anyway. And that was exactly what she wanted; she could still see the panicked look on her siblings faces as they were loaded into the wagon after their parents were murdered. And she most definitely wants her chance at payback.

Julian saw the trembling of her mouth squeezed and rubbed her forearm, “It’s going to be okay you’re safe here.”

She responded with a thin smile, “I hope you’re right.”

Sarah and Julian left this home and over the next several hours spoke with eight other families, all of whom agreed to start preparing for the inevitable confrontation, they didn’t really have much choice. Riding…
