The Space Fragment

The space fragment fell to Earth without burning up in the atmosphere. A five-year-old child, Freddy was the first to find it. He was playing with his dog in the backyard of his family’s home and it soft landed without even making a dent in the ground. It was 5 feet long, 5 feet wide and 5 feet tall. A perfect Cube.

Within the hour agents as cliched men in Black and women in Black were at the house. Freddy along with his mother and father and two siblings were being questioned as to how the fragment came to be in their yard.

Of course none of them knew how and why it came to be in their yard, the thing just floated down and landed Softly. But it’s very curious to everyone how the thing could do so seeing how it weighed over 300 pounds.

The perfect Cube and the family were all taken away to a secret facility. The family underwent a battery of tests, the agency wanted to ensure that the family were truly human and not an alien life form. And it showed that they were fully human, and as soon as they agreed to sign the non-disclosure documents, they were brought home.

The cube however stayed with the agency. X-rays showed that it was solid, no clues to its origin could be found. It was of a material never seen on this planet before. Everyone had no idea as to what it could be.

All the possibilities were listed, could it be a homing device send out by…
